Back in January, we reported on a hybrid smartwatch from Kronaby called Nord that had a stonking two-year battery life and a premium design. Since then, a variety of upper-market hybrid smartwatches have come to market, but none of them have matched the battery life of the Kronaby, which is some feat.
Kronaby’s outstanding battery life has done the brand well, with their hybrid smartwatches selling beyond expectations. And now, they are expanding their range with nine new models, which will be introduced to the Sekel and Carat ranges with new finishes. These will offer new case finishes, new straps and new dials.
The Kronaby Sekel collection is predominantly masculine, with 38mm and 42mm smartwatches with silver of black dials. The new additions to the range will both have a 38mm case and a lovely double-domed sapphire crystal. They will have a gold or rose gold case finish and strap and silver dials to stand out in the range.
The Kronaby Carat collection is unisex in appearance, with 38mm cases and rose gold and gold finishes. Two new models will be introduced to the range, including two rose gold options and a gold metal watch. Both models will have a sapphire crystal.
In terms of smart features, the new Kronaby smartwatches will have the same functionality as the rest of the range. That means you will be able to set up silent alarms and receive smartphone notifications on your wrist. They will also track your activity and sleep, and you can reject calls from your wrist too without having to pick up your phone.
Pricing and availability
Kronaby smartwatches retail for $395.00 to over $600.00. Exact US pricing for the new smartwatches has not yet been confirmed, although the pricing of the current range is a good indication (for the record, the Carat range retails for $445.00 to $495.00, while the Sekel range retails for $495.00 to $625.00). The new smartwatches will be available directly from the Kronaby website and through authorised retailers soon.
